Treated bad on first interview do i want to work for a company like this? currently employed?
So I went on an interview..this call was odd I never heard of this company the call was weird it came on a Saturday morning which was weird due to the fact business hours are Mon. – Fri. 9- 5 …but the guy was very polite so I figured why not he just happens to be working today …so I go the building he asked me to meet him at it was a little awkward because the lobby was this large hollow room with a small desk in the corner with a receptionist sitting at it and one door situated on each side of her like a enter and exit door with 1 or 2 waiting chairs way over on the other side of the room and a glass sun sky light in the middle of the room.
So finally a older guy comes of from behind one of the doors and ask me to follow him behind the closed door on the left. So we enter a interview room its suddenly silent and he has hello Ben, Benjamin..I say oh its Ben casually to break the ice then for a few moments its kind of silent. so the gentleman begins to ask me a few questions he informs me about the job tell me a little about the position then a little about a couple of sites.
I explain all the licenses I hold about prior experiences …to be honest I thought it was a great interview the guy didn’t come out and say it but from the way things were going I think he honestly liked me just his mannerisms …then all in a sudden he burts out. “And don’t think your not getting this job just because your black”.
And there was this sudden pause I just kind of froze in time as he started to explain he has some other property with some minority employee out there some where. I think he could tell it kind of made me uncomfortable because he started to kind of change the subject to the upcoming presidential election debate with the first black president and the first female candidate up for election and how he’s all for the right candidate getting in office as long as they did a good job then he says well your not completely out of it. You very may well hear from me again in the future. Then completes our meeting.
Well I will say I wasn’t sure how I felt leaving the interview. Then on the way home I felt like what egg in my face..For the short time we were able to talk he was a pretty nice old guy then in the flash of (12 words) it all changed I stopped what I was doing to take time away from what I had going on in my life. I left work a little early to show up to the interview changed my cloths in my car thinking ok Ben this is the job for you being you prepared and worked hard put in work needless to say I didn’t hear anything. Now after over a year later I receive a email that says Benjamin,
We are in receipt of your resume and are interested in setting up a interview with you if you are still interested. Please e-mail me and let me know your availability. We are located in downtown Boston….
So now my thoughts are I would love to have a second interview.
But of course I think its someone else asking me to come in do they even realize that I interviewed for this position I the past?
Do I want to work for anyone that can only see the coler of my skin and cant get past it.
Should I give them the benefit of the dout and maybe their last employee didn’t work out and I really am next in line
You know as a black man you think to yourself when you go on a interview and the person acts like this.
Well at least I thought. I wish we could just be friends and what could I do to change this guys mind about black people. And not just me but in people in general do I even want to take on this task? What if I fail what if he were to give me the job and make the conditions so terrible just to see me fail ? am I thinking to much of this?
A little while before going on this interview I read this book by Dale Carnegie and in the book he writes john Dewey one of Americas most profound philosophers Dr Dewey said the deepest urge in human nature is the desire to be important .what do you want? Not many things but the few thing you do wish include you crave with an existence that will not be denied some of the things that most people want include
1, Health and the preservation of life
2, Food
3, Sleep
4, Money and the things it can buy
5, Life in the hear after
6, Sexual gratification
7, The well being of our children
8. A feeling of importance
all of most of these desires are usually gratified - all except one but there is one longing almost as deep almost as impervious as the desire as food or sleep which is seldom gratified is what freud calls the desire to be great it is what Dewey calls the desire to be important…….
All that flashes in my head really fast And I thought what could trigger this guy to say WoW ….he is level headed and his resume says hes qualified ..if I could just convince this guy of telling his secretary ..check his references if he only checked my resume then over time he would actually get to know me and know that I am a decent human being, and in this world all I want is t
Answer: wow. really? you put WAY too much thought into this. from what you said, dude said that he doesnt judge on the color of skin. so wtf is your issue anyway? cuz he was blunt about it? you gotta find something to call him racist at all dont ya? seriously dude. wtf.

CNN doesnt invite Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson for GOP debate. What is CNN scared of?
Though practically ignored at the first Republican debate in South Carolina last month, Gary Johnson has been completely left out of the second debate, happening in New Hampshire on June 13th.
CNN lists their criteria as follows:
The debate partners determined that the definition of a candidate was a person who was taking substantive steps towards a presidential run and reached a minimum threshold in national or state polls. Participants had three different opportunities to be eligible to take part in the debate:
1. A candidate must have received an average of at least 2.00 % in at least three national polls released between April 1 and April 30 that were conducted by the following: ABC, AP, Bloomberg, CBS, CNN, FOX, Gallup, Los Angeles Times, Marist, McClatchy, NBC, Newsweek, Pew, Quinnipiac, Reuters, USA Today and Time.
2. A candidate must have received an average of at least 2.00 % in at least three national polls released between May 1 and May 31 that were conducted by the following: ABC, AP, Bloomberg, CBS, CNN, FOX, Gallup, Los Angeles Times, Marist, McClatchy, NBC, Newsweek, Pew, Quinnipiac, Reuters, USA Today and Time.
3. A candidate must have received an average of at least 2.00 % in polls of New Hampshire voters conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center released between May 1 and May 31."
Responding via an email to supporters, Gary Johnsons campaign points out the hypocritical decision. "In the latest Gallup poll, released one week ago," the email reads, "Governor Johnson’s level of support registered at 3% nationally. This is competitive with candidates like Tim Pawlenty and Rick Santorum, both of whom have been invited to participate. In fact, I’m not aware of a poll in which Mr. Santorum has out-polled Governor Johnson nationally."

Answer: EVERYONE is scared of libertarians because they actually challenge the system. And that is the only real threat to their power.

If things are so bad, why are they so good?
If things are so bad, why are they so good?
With all the gloom coming out of Wall Street, the Democrats on the campaign trail, and the mainstream media, a remarkable thing just happened: Real gross domestic product, the best summary report of the American economy, came in at a breathtaking 3.9 percent annual rate for the third quarter. In fact, following the 3.8 percent growth rate for the second quarter, the U.S. economy has posted its strongest quarterly growth in four years. The economy actually appears to be speeding up, following the relatively sluggish performance of the prior 18 months.
On top of this, the inflation rate is actually slowing down. The consumer spending deflator is reading 2.1 percent for the past year, compared to over 3 percent six quarters ago. The core inflation rate is down to 1.9 percent, below the Fed’s 2 percent target.
Even employment is holding its own. According to Automatic Data Processing’s private employment survey, which showed its strongest gain in four months, October looks like it will produce about 125,000 new jobs.
Meanwhile, rising exports of American goods and services are booming to such an extent that the deep housing recession is being cancelled out. And while many continue to predict a consumer collapse because of falling home prices and tighter credit, after-tax inflation-adjusted income is 4.1 percent ahead of last year, for a $344 billion gain, while the purchase cost of energy prices are flat. The little noticed factoid is that consumer energy use per unit of GDP has actually fallen by more than 50 percent in recent decades.
Again: If things are so bad, why are they so good?
The stock market roared after the Federal Reserve cut its target rate on Wednesday by 25 basis points to 4.5 percent. The rate cut was a small insurance policy, just in case the subprime credit crunch and the housing downturn take a larger toll on the economy.
But listening to the Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday, you’d think it was 1929 all over again. The litany of scare-talk complaints includes China trade unfairness, globalization, immigration, income inequality, stagnant wages, a shrinking middle class, the sinking dollar, and high oil prices.
Yes, there is home deflation on Main Street and loan deflation on Wall Street. It will continue. But what about the rest of the story? When you listen to the hedge-fund short-sellers and the liberal politicians as they attempt to discredit the Bush economic boom, you could almost fall for their bear-market seduction. But the seductress turns out to be an economic harlot — not a beautiful woman.
The true message of the strong economy is that we’re virtually guaranteed of a Goldilocks soft landing or better — and certainly not a recession.
It’s interesting that while the Bush tax cuts of 2003 continue to encourage investment and entrepreneurship, expanding national income and higher tax collections have brought the big bad budget deficit down to $160 billion, or roughly 1 percent of GDP. Using something called the primary deficit — which extracts net interest on the debt and can be used to measure fiscal stimulus on the economy — we actually have a 70 billion surplus.
These are all reasons why it would be foolhardy to embrace large-scale tax-hikes to allegedly fight the budget gap.
House tax chief Charlie Rangel’s great idea to reduce the corporate income tax is the first pro-growth tax-cut measure from a Democrat in many years, and hopefully his effort will spur a discussion of full-scale tax reform by the Republican and Democratic candidates. But looking to the rest of Rangel’s plan, there are ways to eliminate the alternative minimum tax that do not require big tax hikes on the most successful earners and investors.
For example, the Bush administration’s tax-reform panel, chaired by former senators Connie Mack and John Breaux, proposed a growth-and-investment plan with only three income-tax brackets of 15, 25, and 30 percent. The plan would repeal the AMT and reduce the corporate tax to 30 percent. Capital gains and dividends would remain at 15 percent.
Or there’s the new plan from Wisconsin House member Paul Ryan that would move to a 10 and 25 percent tax system while also eliminating the dreaded AMT.
In other words, there are a lot of ways to gently nudge tax rates lower while broadening the tax base that would keep the Bush boom going well into the future.
The print and broadcast media do not give President Bush much credit for his economic policies. But somehow I have to wonder whether low unemployment, strong growth, negligible inflation, and record stock markets do not deserve just a bit of praise.
It is still the greatest story never told.
Answer: Everywhere I go there are traffic jams, even on weekends (I work in a major city during the week and live at my beach house on weekends year round). If things were so bad, I would think people would at least cut back on going to the beach in the off season, but tomorrow there will be a traffic jam when I leave work at 2PM. And all the cars seem to be huge, not to mention all the RVs and boats being towed behind them.

Why do Republicans & Conservatives believe what political hacks say about the stimulus but not economist?
“While the ultimate success of the stimulus package will be debated for years, we believe that the general structure of the plan was constructive. The stimulus plan needed to be large because the economic problem was enormous; diversified because it is not clear exactly what would work, and relatively prolonged because the economy looked to be weakened for several years. The Obama administration acted quickly and boldly in combating the economic downturn with fiscal stimulus, sending a message that it would actively use policy to right the economy. The Administration deserves credit for getting the economic priorities right and for stimulus design.” The Brookings Institution

"The real economy also responded to the massive stimulus but remained heavily dependent on it. In the United States, growth during the second half of 2009 probably averaged about 3 percent. Absent temporary fiscal stimulus and inventory rebuilding, which taken together added about 4 percentage points to U.S. growth, the economy would have contracted at about a 1 percent annual rate during the second half of 2009." ~The American Enterprise Institute (AE)

Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody’s Analytics and former adviser to John McCain’s presidential campaign, and Alan Blinder, a Princeton University economist and former economic adviser to President Bill Clinton, modeled the past and what might have happened without the much-derided government responses.
Their findings: “Effects on real Gross Domestic Product, jobs and inflation are huge, and probably averted what could have been called Great Depression 2.0. For example, we estimate that, without the government’s response, GDP in 2010 would be about 6.5 percent lower, payroll employment would be less by some 8.5 million jobs, and the nation would now be experiencing deflation.”
The report notes that the bailout and federal loans had a deeper effect than stimulus spending, but that the stimulus added 2.7 million jobs to a limping economy and raised GDP by a full 2 percent.
Answer: because they choose to believe only what they want to and what agrees with their view of the world

Answer: those who say the stimulus is a failure don't seem to think economists know what they are talking about...
they seem to think the national economy is little more complicated than their own checkbook...
do you ever notice how Republicans make widesweeeping comments about the world, based on their personal life?
it's snowing outside... global warming is wrong...
I'm broke... the stimulus didn't work...

Has religion corrupted the mind of one of the worlds best brain surgeons?
Meet Ben Carson.
Most of you probably havent heard of him, but those who have probably know him through his book, "Gifted Hands" and the TV movie of the same name.
He grew up in Detroit being raised by a mother with only a 3rd grade education. Eventually, he did so well in high school that he got in to Yale and graduated with full honors. He then attended UMich medical school. At 32, he became the youngest ever head of the Pediatric Neurosurgery department at Johns Hopkins University (which, according to USNWR, is the 2nd best medical school in the nation, second only to Harvard).
In 1987, he was the first neurosurgeon ever to separate conjoined twins that were joined at the head. Similar operations have been attempted, but only Dr. Carsons was succesful at that time. Some of his other urgical innovations have included the first intra-uterine procedure to relieve pressure on the brain of a hydrocephalic fetal twin, and a hemispherectomy, in which an infant suffering from uncontrollable seizures has half of its brain removed. This stopped the seizures, and the remaining half of the brain actually compensates for the missing hemisphere. In 2008, Dubya awarded him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work in the medical field.
Hes also a devout member of the SDA church. This seemed a bit suspicious to me, but it didnt raise any red flags, so I didnt think much of it.
Google Dr. Carsons name, and youll get lots of results showing his many achievements.
NOW, heres where the bull$h!t starts. In a discussion/debate with/against Daniel Dennett and Richard Dawkins, Carson said that he "did not believe in evolution" because "....it says that because there are these similarities even though we cant specifically connect them it proves that this is what happened." Now Ill admit that I havent listened to the whole debate, but that one sentence explicitly states Carsons stance on evolution doesnt it?
Oh and heres the recorded debate: http://www.archive.org/details/RichardDawkinsDanielDennettVs.FrancisCollinsBenjaminCarson
Answer: I don't see the problem.
Surely Dr. Carson is free to practice a religion if he chooses? This Constitutional right does extend to doctors and surgeons, or didn't you realize that large numbers of the medical community are Christians? Many are members of other faiths as well, by the way.
Evidently Dr. Carson's religious beliefs have not interfered with his skill as a brain surgeon. As you pointed out, his achievements in his chosen field are awesome. I wonder...if we could ask him, would he tell us, like the heart surgeon who did my grand daughter's surgery, that he prays before, during, and after an operation, that he asks God to guide his hands? Perhaps...just perhaps, now...the good Doctor's prayers are answered?
So, he doesn't believe in evolution. Hey, for all we know, he might be right. The thing about science...what was true today might not be true tomorrow. New evidence could turn up that make everything you think you know about science right now completely wrong. Or didn't you guys learn anything from Pluto?
I wouldn't get so emotional about it. He's an accomplished surgeon, that's all we need to know. His religion is his private business.
By the way, thank you for giving us proof that atheists are not necessarily more intelligent than Christians.

Why are people voting for Obama and Romney?
We all know now that Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are way ahead in the presidential race, but WHY? Im considering moving to another country to get away from the absolute stupidity that the government has insued onto the American citizens! I will just say it, anyone who is voting for Barack Obama, and everyone who is voting for Mitt Romney, is uneducated, unintelligent, is committing mass-murder, treason, and much much more. Are you guys aware of that the United States Government is in debt? Are you aware that the United States Government is over 16 trillion dollars in debt and has been going up a 4 billion a day MINIMUM since Obama was elected into Office? Do you know that the United States Government only makes around 2 trillion? Were talking a MASSIVE debt, millions of billions of dollars negative! Now lets go to the debate: President Obama states that he wants to open more programs, for education, etc. which will cost us billions of dollars that we dont have! Along with wanting war and I heard him say he wanted to spend "6 trillion on our military" but where is he getting this money? HES NOT. Mitt Romney states he wants to "Cut Taxes" and also wants to spend trillions of dollars on military and war, but wait, if we cut taxes, the government will make less money, and spend more money! Its only a matter of time, maybe even a matter of seconds until the United States declares bankruptcy, which will most likely lead to World War 3 and complete anarchy at the least. I will 100% assure you that if Obama/Romney goes through with their plans, the United States WILL go bankrupt. So what happens when America goes bankrupt? The reason why the debt is going up so fast is because we borrowed money from other countriesc to try to pay off our debt, and on loans you have interest, and that will keep going and going up until we pay it off, which neither Obama or Romney has paid a single tribute to raising taxes, or creating any sort of anything that will raise money, they both want to spend more, which they dont seem to care that they have no money to spend, theyll just borrow some more to pay for it, right? WRONG. Eventually the United States will hit a breaking point, im guessing very soon. This will be an Economic Collapse (an apocalypse) every country that relies on the United States or is affiliated will also collapse, resulting in a world-wide collapse. Then when the countries we took out loans from ask for their money, well simply reply "Sorry, were bankrupt!" now you tell me, if a country owes you trillions of dollars, and is refusing to pay it back, will you just say "Okay, thats fine" NO! It will be war, IN AMERICA! It wont be our soldiers fighting these wars, itll be you and me! Thats all future though, lets talk about what happened while Obama was in office. The first think of when I think of Obama and his cold heart is the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, which states that U.S. citizens can be "indefinitely detained" in a secret prison without breaking any laws, and getting no trial, and no phone call. Well, their goes Amendment VI of the Constitution. Thats absolute treason on Obamas part at the least. If you live in California, St. Louis, and other various areas you might notice Tanks patrolling residential areas and arresting countless people, (beginning of martial law?) or maybe youve noticed surveillance drones patrolling the airspace watching you shower, yeah, Obama signed that bill too. What about the countless unconstitutional bills he signed allowing government phone tapping, computer key-logging and screen recording, all without a search warrant or probable cause. What about him allowing the schools in Texas to force children to wear gps tracking microchips with microphones for 24/7 monitoring, and anyone who refused was subject to arrest and punishment? Its only a matter of time before we have ZERO rights, and COMPLETE MARTIAL LAW, ending in a world-wide economic collapse, war, and anarchy? That seems to be where its heading, doesnt it, Obama? Then you could side with Romney, not only did he say that he would have signed NDAA just like Obama did, and want to spend trillions of dollars like Obama does, but he wants to cut taxes, too! Which means itll be exactly the same as Obama, but with bankruptcy happening 10 times sooner! If I were you, I would refuse to vote for anybody this election year, a vote for either of them is pretty much a vote for certain death if you think about it... voting for the "lesser evil" is still a vote for evil! Also, did you know theres 3 people on the ballot this year? What about Gary Johnson? Gary Johnson says he wants to balance the budget first, instead of spending all this money, and would rather die than sign unconstitutional bills like NDAA. Our fate is on you, America.

Transcript And Audio: Obama-Romney 2nd Presidential Debate : NPR
6 hours ago ... Transcript and audio of the second debate between President Obama ... And what's happened over the last four years has been very, very hard ...
What are your view points on presidential health?
Issues: McCain is old, duh. He and his mother could be on the back of a Smuckers Jar, lets be honest. At the same time Obama smokes the cigs. AND his mother died of cancer. As a medical student, I see this as an increase of risk for Obamas health despite his youth.
Second: Might the health appeal to some people? I will tell you I definately agree with Palin on basically all her issues so I am favorable with McCains oldness, because I would love to see her in the oval office. If I were a Democrat, (objectively thinking), I think Biden is probably one of the best choices in the nation as a president. He is very very qualified to be doing all that. Although I dont agree with his policies, and I dont trust him.. Hes too washington-y
If you noticed you might now know why governors do better running for office than senators. The debate last night was all about he said, he said smears and distortions. For instance: McCain over exaggerated foreign dependance on oil with Russia.. when we get most our oil from canada and mexico. Obama said McCain voted against a childrens health plan, (but I happened to know about that plan), when the bill was put out there, children were ALREADY covered. so??? you know whats going on with this crazy crap, why do both candidates speak as though they think WE are stupid?
Answer:
its not only health its experience and palin no matter what has MUCH more experience than obama hands down so if something should happen it still would be good for us
Biden on the other hand has been used as a an example in USA coilleges of how to be a failure in politics and this is who Obama picks and why smart women are still angry!
mccain in a coma still better than Obama any frkn day

Why do right-wingers trust right-wing media figures claims about the stimulus more than economist?
Right-wing media talking heads and others on the right say there was no possitive impact from the stimulus but economist say there was.
The stimulus, consisted of $288 billion in tax breaks to individuals and businesses.
$226 billion for projects such as new roads and high-speed rail.
$273 billion in payments to state governments.
It is unrealistic to say that out of the billions the states received that those states did not create any jobs. States do not have things like their own construction companies or asphalt companies. They take bids for private companies.
The Congressional Budget Office, as well three private-sector economic-analysis firms studied how many jobs were created.
CBO: Between 800,000 jobs and 2.4 million jobs.
IHS/Global Insight: 1.25 million jobs
Macroeconomic Advisers: 1.06 million jobs
Moodys economy.com: 1.59 million jobs

Spinning Gaffes Into Gags: Live From New York, Its Debate Night
All last week, Lorne Michaels, the creator and longtime executive producer of Saturday Night Live was working the phone trying to nail down a visit to the show from either of this years presidential candidates. By late Friday, it looked like it wouldnt happen, at least for this last week. But Mr. Michaels still needed star power. So he put in - Political season is high-anxiety time for Saturday Night Live, which even in the age of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert is known for its definitive parodies of political debates; creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels and NBC, usually protective about the process of putting together the show, allowed access to the programs writers, stars and rehearsals as they prepared their sketch following the first debate between Mitt Romney and Pres Obama. While Obama was blaming a YouTube video and a street protest (which never happened) as the reason for the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Heritage expert Jim Phillips made the link to al-Qaeda just a couple of days after the attack.
Why do Democrats need the Republicans approval, they are the majority and dont need their votes?
The neat thing about a presidential race between two Senators is that voters can make direct comparisons between the candidates that otherwise are not possible. This year, the comparisons work in John McCains favor.
McCain pushed for the "surge" in Iraq. Obama opposed it, saying it wouldnt work. When it worked, Obama said he knew it would work, but defended his vote anyway.
Two years ago, McCain warned that Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac were in serious need of reform and he so-sponsored legislation to reform it. Obama did not support this legislation, which the Democrats blocked. Obama was near the top of the list of recipients of contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, and two executives from these outfits were among his campaign advisors.
McCain also had the right line on the Russian invasion of Georgia (though this was not a legislative issue). As Rudy Giuliani recounted at the Republican Convention, Obama waffled for a while and eventually adopted McCains view. McCain led; Obama followed
Most recently, McCain figured out that he needed to get back to Washington to engage, and if possible provide leadership in, the momentous issue of the financial sector bailout. While McCain opted to help make something happen, Obama said he could be reached by phone if anything did happen.
Obamas position was untenable, so he eventually followed McCain back to Washington.
Hoping to cover for their "follower" of a presidential candidate, Democrats are claiming that McCain has done more harm than good in the legislative debate. Although this is always a possibility with McCain (and, indeed, just about anyone who is willing to lead), the Democrats case is absurd.
Their argument is that Congress was on the verge of a deal until McCain entered the picture and caused Republican House members to block it. The problems with this script are several. First, there is no evidence that House Republicans were ever on board with any deal. Second, the support of House Republicans is not needed to pass bailout legislation. The Democrats control the House.
The Democrats counter the second point by saying that a majority of House Dems wont support a deal unless House Republicans provide "cover." But this argument raises more problems than it addresses. First, it is a serious condemnation of House Dems (too gutless to do what they think is right, even in the face of a potential economic meltdown). Second it is a serious condemnation of Nancy Pelosi (too ineffective to whip her troops into line even in the face of a potential economic meltdown). Third, it casts serious doubt on the wisdom of the deal that McCain is falsely accused of scuttling. If the deal made sense, House Dems wouldnt believe they need "cover" from House Republicans.
Fourth, the "cover" argument shows what a non-factor Obama is in all of this. The Dems complain (preposterously) that McCain has riled up House Republicans or failed to bring them around. Meanwhile, no one seems to be asking why Obama hasnt helped the House leadership obtain sufficient support from House Dems.
Theres a reason why this question isnt being asked. Obama is lightweight from whom leadership is not, and should not, be expected.
Answer: Well any one who thinks McCain is looking better than Obama can not be very bright or even own a TV or read newspapers.

What should I do? Im so confused!!?
So I like two guys. They are both seniors and on the speech and debate team with me. Both of them are super nice and extremely funny. I cant stop thinking about either of them. One (lets call him A) had to take me and three other girls on the novice team to watch the presidential debate. On the way there I was sitting up front with him and I kept thinking about how nice it would be to be able to hold his hand while we were in the car, and other couple stuff like that.
The second one (B) is one of As friends in debate. He is really nice and unique. They both have similarities, but they are completely different people. B kept glancing up at me while we ate dinner before the debate but I didnt really think anything of it.
I know A is going to a college here in our city so if anything were to happen and we were still together by next year then it would be okay, but Im not sure about B. Im a sophomore btw.
What should I do? Should I pick one? How do I pick? Or should I forget about both? Im really stuck here. Im trying to decide what to do. I see A more because he "tutors" the novice team, but I can talk to B almost as easily as A. Ugh! Please help!

Will "Candies Foundation" be helped by this role model? GMA interview May 6 for Prevent Teen Pregnancy?
She has a healthy baby boy who has just learned to sit up, but Bristol Palin said shes using her fame to tell other teens to do what she didnt do -- abstain from sex.
"Regardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only ... 100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy," she told "Good Morning America" today, backing away from a previous statement on Fox News that abstinence wasnt realistic, saying it was taken out of context.
The spotlight has been on the 18-year-old since her pregnancy was announced a few days after her mother accepted the offer to become the GOPs vice presidential nominee. Shes now using that spotlight to promote a national campaign to raise awareness for teen pregnancy prevention.
The daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was appointed as a teen ambassador for the New York City-based Candies Foundation because she believes she could be a living example of the consequences of teen pregnancy, which is foundations mission.
Palins is a poignant message on this National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.
"I dont see myself as a celebrity; I dont want to be one," she said. "But I think using this experience in my life to help others, I think its a blessing."
Palin said telling her mother and father that she was pregnant was "harder than labor."
"I knew that it would be a huge shock and a huge surprise for my parents," she said, adding that their disappointment eventually turned into support. "I hope that me speaking out now will prevent girls from having to do that in the future."
Palin said son Tripp, born in December, is sitting up, rolling over and starting to giggle. "Hes doing awesome," she said. "Hes getting so big and so chubby."
But Palin said he life consists mainly of school, diapers, bottles and chores, all on a "few hours of sleep."
"Its a 24-hour job and thats a huge responsibility," she said. "Your priorities completely change once you have a baby."
But Palin said giving up the baby or terminating the pregnancy was never an option. "I knew from the second I found out I was pregnant I was going to keep the baby," she said.
Still, if she could do it all over again, Palin said she would wait to have sex. "My son is a blessing. Hes the best thing that ever happened to me Hes the love of my life but I do wish that years from now I could have had the same son."
Bristol Palin Wants Levi Johnston in Sons Life
The September 2008 revelation that the then 17-year-old high school senior was pregnant ignited a cultural debate about sexual education. The story not only received media play because her mother was the Republican vice presidential nominee, but also because of Sarah Palins abstinence-only education leanings.
Studies show that 80 percent of pregnant teens dont marry the fathers of their babies, which includes Bristol Palin. Though she and then boyfriend Levi Johnston announced their engagement once the news of their pregnancy was revealed, the pair broke up shortly after the birth of their son.
The former couples relationship has since been tenuous, at best, with 19-year-old Johnston being labeled as a deadbeat dad by Sarah Palins father.
Johnston has said the Palins have limited his access to Tripp since the breakup, which he said was mutual. In the weeks following the split, Johnston said he needed to mature before becoming a husband but held out hope that he and Palin would reconcile.
Bristol Palin said she wants to maintain some kind of relationship with Johnston for the benefit of her son. "Id love Levi to be a part of his life and I know he will be," she said. "Every child needs a father."
Palin said she didnt pay much attention to the intense media coverage that started when her mother was thrust into the national spotlight during the presidential campaign, including Tina Feys Sarah Palin impersonation. "Its unreal," she said.
Palin is but one visible example of a nationwide trend. For the second year in a row, the countrys teen birth rate has increased.
Three out of 10 girls in the United States will get pregnant and less than half of those women will earn their high school diploma, according to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.
Answer: Although I agree with religious conservatives who want to challenge the youth to delay sexual activity for a while, I totally disagree with their message that a condom is a provision for sin. I send my Christian friends to the website below which debunks the whole thing against premarital sex in the Bible. That way they have no excuse not to support comprehensive sex education.

CNN doesnt invite Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson from GOP debate. What is CNN scared of?
http://www.newworldradical.com/2011/06/gary-johnson-not-invited-to-new.html
Answer: "Johnson did not meet the criteria for participating in the debate."

So what are your thoughts?
Oh and heres the recorded debate: http://www.archive.org/details/RichardDawkinsDanielDennettVs.FrancisCollinsBenjaminCarson

Who do you think won the second presidential debate?
Personally, I think Obama has not only won the first one, but also this one. Whereas Obama was talking about the future and what he plans to do to "fix" our country, McCain was too busy making unnecessary stabs at Obama. McCain was so disrespectful to Obama and Obama played it off the way he always does: with a cool, calm, collective disposition. Frankly, I think Obama looks more presidential as well. McCain was scuffling about the stage, making snide remarks, scribbling notes, and completely avoiding eye contact. All McCain did was talk about the past. He kept bringing up Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan and things like Vietnam and Cambodia. Im sorry, but those are completely irrelevant today. I know we must learn from our past, but what ever happened to looking to the future? I think McCain represents the president of the 20th century, while Obama represents the present of the 21st century. Besides, no matter how many times he may say it, McCain is certainly NO friend of mine.
Thoughts?
Answer: There were no winners. Obama is a more polished speaker and that's about it. They said nothing that wasn't already said. The moderator didn't ask questions where the candidates could clearly differentiate themselves and their platforms. It seemed like they were giving similar answers, but "That One" is a better speaker..than "The Other One", and that unfortunately is what's going to determine who wins. Simple as that.

A democrat who doesnt like kool-aid?
Reading this...I found myself in the awkward position of agreeing with a democrat. How about you?
Sept. 9, 2009 | What a difference a month makes! When my last controversial column posted on Salon in the second week of August, most Democrats seemed frozen in suspended animation, not daring to criticize the Obama administrations bungling of healthcare reform lest it give aid and comfort to the GOP. Well, that ice dam sure broke with a roar. Dissident Democrats found their voices, and by late August even the liberal lemmings of the mainstream media, from CBS to CNN, had drastically altered their tone of reportage, from priggish disdain of the town hall insurgency to frank admission of serious problems in the healthcare bills as well as of Obamas declining national support.
But this tonic dose of truth-telling may be too little too late. As an Obama supporter and contributor, I am outraged at the slowness with which the standing army of Democratic consultants and commentators publicly expressed discontent with the administrations strategic missteps this year. I suspect there had been private grumbling all along, but the media warhorses failed to speak out when they should have -- from week one after the inauguration, when Obama went flat as a rug in letting Congress pass that obscenely bloated stimulus package. Had more Democrats protested, the administration would have felt less arrogantly emboldened to jam through a cap-and-trade bill whose costs have made it virtually impossible for an alarmed public to accept the gargantuan expenses of national healthcare reform. (Who is naive enough to believe that Obamas plan would be deficit-neutral? Or that major cuts could be achieved without drastic rationing?)
By foolishly trying to reduce all objections to healthcare reform to the malevolence of obstructionist Republicans, Democrats have managed to destroy the national coalition that elected Obama and that is unlikely to be repaired. If Obama fails to win reelection, let the blame be first laid at the door of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who at a pivotal point threw gasoline on the flames by comparing angry American citizens to Nazis. It is theoretically possible that Obama could turn the situation around with a strong speech on healthcare to Congress this week, but after a summer of grisly hemorrhaging, too much damage has been done. At this point, Democrats main hope for the 2012 presidential election is that Republicans nominate another hopelessly feeble candidate. Given the GOPs facility for shooting itself in the foot, that may well happen.
This column has been calling for heads to roll at the White House from the get-go. Thankfully, they do seem to be falling faster -- as witness the middle-of-the-night bums rush given to "green jobs" czar Van Jones last week -- but theres a long way to go. An example of the provincial amateurism of current White House operations was the way the presidents innocuous back-to-school pep talk got sandbagged by imbecilic support materials soliciting students to write fantasy letters to "help" the president (a coercive directive quickly withdrawn under pressure). Even worse, the entire project was stupidly scheduled to conflict with the busy opening days of class this week, when harried teachers already have their hands full. Comically, some major school districts, including New York City, were not even open yet. And this is the gang who wants to revamp national healthcare?
Why did it take so long for Democrats to realize that this years tea party and town hall uprisings were a genuine barometer of widespread public discontent and not simply a staged scenario by kooks and conspirators? First of all, too many political analysts still think that network and cable TV chat shows are the central forums of national debate. But the truly transformative political energy is coming from talk radio and the Web -- both of which Democrat-sponsored proposals have threatened to stifle, in defiance of freedom of speech guarantees in the Bill of Rights. I rarely watch TV anymore except for cooking shows, history and science documentaries, old movies and football. Hence I was blissfully free from the retching overkill that followed the deaths of Michael Jackson and Ted Kennedy -- I never saw a single minute of any of it. It was on talk radio, which I have resumed monitoring around the clock because of the healthcare fiasco, that I heard the passionate voices of callers coming directly from the town hall meetings. Hence I was alerted to the depth and intensity of national sentiment long before others who were simply watching staged, manipulated TV shows.
Why has the Democratic Party become so arrogantly detached from ordinary Americans?
The rest is also worth reading...(did I just say that?)
http://www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2009/09/09/healthcare/
Dont get me wrong, I dont agree with her motivation...but facts are facts.

Right on! None of this really surprises me, in that I know that most people in this country are intelligent enough to come to the same conclusion after looking at facts. This writer has just put into words what many have been thinking for very long now!
Well done to the writer for being able to acknowledge the simple truth. This government couldn't even run a car stimulus plan, let alone a healthcare reform!
"Apriring to be French" - Wow, seriously? You would like Obama to have more power and influence? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Come on, this is the guy who tried to ram through a 2000 page healthcare without even knowing what was in it, and simply encouraged Americans to "trust us". Wake up.
