Activities for 10 month old?

My MIL watches my almost 10 month old 4 days a week while I am at class. For about 2 hours on Monday and Wednesdays and 5 hours on Tuesday and Thursdays. Yesterday she made a comment that they are really bored during the day and need to find something to do. I get the feeling that my daugher aimlessly wanders around the house getting into whatever she wants while my MIL follows her around telling her no to things she cant have. If thats the case, then yes I am sure its very boring. When I am home with my daughter we read, play with her toys, and run errands, but it seems like my MIL isnt sure what to do with her while Im gone. So I am looking for some games/activities/routine that I can set up before I leave so that they have some things that are different to do together. My daughter has an eating/sleeping schedule, but between that my MIL doesnt know what to do.. Any ideas for things a 10 month old can do rather than free time? I would like them to be educational activities, but some just for fun are fine as well. PS- She can get around fine on her own, if that helps at all. She is crawling, cruising, and can stand unassisted for a min or two.
Answer: Activities for 10 month old: 1. Drooling 2. Jibber Jabbering 3. Pooping lol No just kidding. My 10 month old really liked the "Your baby can read" series. So far he hasn't read anything at 17 months. But he likes ot watch them. :)

Could i be pregnant and when should i test? 10 pts. please! i need answers!?

Background info: I have PCOS so my periods are irregular I dont know when I ovulated or when to expect my period. My husband and I had been trying for over a year but then we gave up and decided to just be young we were planning to move to oklahoma from iowa in march. We havent been using protection because we didnt think I could get pregnant without fertility treatment. So heres the thing... wednesday I felt like an intense twinge in the middle of my lower abdomin it felt like menstal cramps. so I went to the bathroom right away thinking i got my period finally and when i wipped there was clear mucus with a streak of bright red blood. Then the rest of the night nothing and since then nothing. i had cramps until friday (about 3 days of cramping) but none since and still no bleeding except that one streak on wednesday. i keep expecting my period to start. My boobs arent sore Im not feeling anything else, my skin right now is broken out like when i get my period. i took a test thursday a test friday and a test today (sunday). all were negative. should i give up or is it to early to test? So could this have been implantation bleeding? When can i take a test and get an accurate result? if this wasnt implantation bleeding what could it be? Should i be worried?

I have been dating a guy for about 2 1/2 months. We usually spend 2 days a week together. We had a fight on Monday but it seemed like we were ok on Tuesday. Normally we get together on Wednesdays but he said he had a birthday party in the evening on Wednesday, so I moved some things around and we got together on Tuesday evening instead. We had dinner and joked around like we normally do. We played this card game out by the pool. I get very competitive and was getting mad that he was beating me. After the game was done I got over the fact he beat me pretty quick. He also likes to tease me and he said something that made me ask if he even liked me. He said he did and that if he didnt, he wouldnt be wasting his time or mine. I said ok and we continued on with our evening. When I left, we left on a good note, well I think so anyways, with a kiss and a hug. We had been talking about getting together on Friday but I wasnt sure cause I had tentative plans with other people. I talked to those people and got some stuff moved around so the guy and I could hang out. He sent me a picture message yesterday message and I answered it. I texted him later in the day that I had got my plans moved so we could hang out on Friday. He never answered. I didnt hear from him all day and finally before I went to bed, I called him to say good night and just ended up leaving a message. Mind you, we normally talk multiple times a day. I know that he was suppose to be hanging with his sister and had that party in the evening. Should I be concerned that he never answered me yesterday? Am I just over thinking things? Thanks for the help!
Answer: You probably are over thinking it. Maybe text him again like a day before Friday and jokingly say "Do you still want to hang out tmrw?! :D" so he'll know that you're looking forward to it. But just for the record, don't ALWAYS change plans JUST for him, have fun with your friends too :)

does she fancy me or dislike me? confused (10 POINTS!!!)?

really like this girl and I think she likes me. I often make her laught a lot and she told me i throw her (she often does seem shy around me but not around others) and enjoys my cuddles. Plus she plays with her hair and smiles a lot when shes near me. When im in the room I can see her in the corner of my eye gazing at me and then quickly turn away when i look at her. But sometimes we both get lost in eachothers eyes. She doesnt flinch when I put my hand on hers. We dont really know eachother though and i think she wants to get to know me better but it just seems complicated because she just seems to lose her bottle a little. As I mentioned before she gets really shy when its just us but people even commented once on how much we both seemed to like eachother but that was in october. Still now though she shows the same signs its just we rarely find time where we can just talk. We bump into eachother quite a lot, but we both spend quite a bit of time with friends too. But since we got back from the christmas holidays on wednesday, things havent been quite the same. Shes just been flirting with people in front of me and laughing more at their jokes. Having said that we havent hugged for flirted since we got back because of exams and she does still say hi to me and smile at me at every opportunity. But Im not sure what to do. Do you guys just think I should surprise her and offer her a hug and the usual flirtyness or should I leave it until she starts acting normally again? Plus of course the whole thing is making me wonder if she likes me or not. OK, so we start school on wednesday and i really dont want to be tired the next day but what time should i go to bed at? i normally need at least 10 hours of sleep to not feel tired...but, i have a feeling its going to be hard for me to sleep anyway, i also really really want to watch 10 things i hate about you and ruby and the rockits tomorrow night but that would end at 9 and then....well i dont know. so what time should i go to bed? i have to wake up between 6:30 and 7:00 and im 11. :)

Im going on a 10 day holiday away from home. Over the past 2 months I have managed to get really fit with loads of muscles and lose weight. Im scared though that during this holiday all will be lost. Any suggestions on how i can exercise to stay in shape and how often? what types of exercises? My 10 year old nephew is moving in next wednesday?

My husband (who sadly passed away) had a brother who passed away of leukemia in 2006. His sister in law passed away about 3-4 months ago. Our nephew (10) was under the care of his aunt, but sadly, we were the godparents & Im now his legal guardian. He will be moving in with us next wednesday. The thing is, I dont know what to expect. Hes a great kid. He has alot of friends, from what ive heard hes the top student in the 5th grade class, and he loves sports. Losing his parents have definetely took quite a toll on him, and he hasnt been himself lately. He came over to start putting some of his luggage in his room, and he mopes around. Trust me - after losing two parents, I do NOT expect him to be happy and cheerful. Hes very close with my kids (13, 9 & 2) and were also close. We were cleaning out his house & he left a letter behind. I didnt purposely pick it up; my eye glanced at it, and I saw that it said " To my angels: Mom and dad I picked it up. He asked me if I wanted to read it. I dont mean to bring tears to anyones eyes, but Id like to share it with you. To my angels, mom and dad. I know youre both gone. Mommy, when dad passed away I know you were very hurt. Things werent the same. I know how you cried every night for him because you were so used to him walking in the house at 5:30 and the house would suddenly become the happiest house Ive ever known. I know you always wished that someday hed walk back in. I would always tell you that hed be there, not physically - but in our hearts. Now I know that for sure youre smiling again because your with daddy. I miss you two more then I can ever explain. Im taking the family portraits of us and hanging them in my room at Aunt Nicoles ( my house.) I also know that you loved Aunt Nicole and her husband who died also. Mommy, I really hope your happy in heaven. I know that shouldnt even be a question cause I know you are. I will always take care of you and daddys grave at the cemetery. In the snow, the pouring rain, the thunderstorms, mommy everyday Ill be there. Ill put your favorite flowers on yours and a Yankees flag for daddy. You guys meant the world to me but now I know that Aunt Nicole will take good care of me. You both will live in my heart forever. I hope you know that Im going to do everything you would expect me too. Ill still do good in school, play soccer, and every goal i score will be for you and dad. Its gonna be hard knowing of all the parents that are sitting on the bleachers watching, that you wont be there. Aunt Nicole will be there. It wont be the same. Its still making me happy knowing that someone is there watching me do what I love to do. This letter, which youll never get to read, will be in an envolope and tied to a heart balloon. Im going to send it up to heaven. I love you both so much and I miss you more then youll ever know. Love, your son Logan. The whole point of this wasnt to show you the letter. It was to get your advice. Ive dealt with death of my husband which also took a big chunk out of my heart and my kids heart. We still mourn him to this day; and now, I dont know what to do with my nephew. Im lost on what advice to give him. Please help? Thank you.
Answer: I would suggest a good child psychologist for a little while to help your nephew through the grieving process before he hits puberty and has to deal with both at the same time. Create a special place for him in his room - to put his photographs of his parents. Make sure it is prominent in his room. Leave them there until he moves them himself. Make sure to talk to him about his parents - remember days gone by and tell him about them. This will bring good memories even if a little sad too. It will also open up a dialog between you and him about this - how is he feeling? Hes 10, he is half kid half tween, but old enough to be frank with him - tell him you are worried about him and is there anything you can do to help? Moving twice probably wasn't the best either but you have him now - just keep talking . A minister might also be a good counselor for him - and they are trained in psychology - but dont usually charge as much ( sometimes nothing) for their services.

lose 5 to 10 pounds fast.?

really want to lose like 5-10 lsb, fast. Right now, i eat 2000 calories a day, and my excersize is monday- walking throuhout the day, at night: 100 sit ups, 100 "bicycles, 1 minute plank. not much, i know. Tuesday- walking during day, basket ball for an hour, and the night thing Wednesday same as Monday Thursday- same as Tusday Friday same as Monday Saturday- same as Monday plus mega hardcore shopping. hahahaha. sunday- Thursday. So i think im gonna bring it down to like 1600 a day. and add some more excersize on the empty days. how much should i add? and how does that sound????? keep in mind im 13, and my parents CANT know.

Answer: I'm going assume you mean check out of Santa Monica Tuesday - on your way to San Diego. Your first Saturday is over crowded, after a 100 mile each way trip to Santa Barbara Friday. I would switch Venice Beach to Sunday, since there isn't that much at Griffith Park. The rest is very ambitious. You don't give yourself any rest time. Personally, I would skip San Diego Old Town in favor of Sea World, but you know what you like. Cheap hotel in San Diego - not likely. Try the Good Night Inn at Sea World, or Beach Cottages

Black "things" in horses water tank....? 10 easy points?

they look like very small, "stick" shaped objects. they move/swim when you go to touch them and are about 1cm long by a mm or so thick. i think** they are fly/mosquito larve? but they seemed kind of big...maybe i am wrong. idk. anyway. i clean the horses water tank (scrub, dumb, re-fill) every 5-7 days depending on how dirty it is etc. so its not like this is standing, dirty water! it is pretty fresh. i just did my cleaning ritual this past saturday and wednesday when i turned my hoses out i noticed the "things". their was a good....idk thousand? of them...they move and my horses drank some of the water. they all seem fine. but does anyone know what they are? also. is their any water treatment that will kill them but is safe for my horses to drink? i assume not but idk. my vet is coming out today but i figured i would ask here instead of waisting his time with silly questions! thanks! julie- i did not get close enough to see exactly what the looked like. but its likely. and in the pasture that i noticed them in, yes it is in direct sunlight but the only place in that pasture w/o direct sun light is in a far corner. which my hose will not reach and i will have to trench my entire pasture :/ also...i called them "black things" because i was not 100% sure of what they were and im not going to make assumptions. relax...its not that big of a deal. take a breather instead of trying to make me feel like an idiot :) my horses water tanks are never dirty. everyone relax...i clean them throughly ever 5-7 days but if i notice it getting gross of course i empty it and clean it etc. i mean....cmon? please dont act as though my horses tank is black with algae or something! i think im going to try gold fish...although the ammonia does scare me a bit...
Answer: They definitely sound like mosquito larvae (sorry, I think you probably figured that out after the first couple of answers). They develop in any standing water (including pet bowls and puddles) and will dive to the bottom if a shadow falls over them. There are products that can be used but be very wary of putting something in the water your horses will drink. A good option to look into might be larvicide rings they look like small pink rings) and, I think, contain a bacteria that infects and kills the larva in the water without harming horses, humans, pets etc. They also seem to be much safer than chemical agents. I'll look up some more info on them. Should I give up on making things work with my boyfriend?? (10 points!)?

My boyfriend and I got into an argument Wednesday about something stupid. He argued that Islam is a peaceful religion and that only some of them are radical, I argued that they hate Americans and cannot be reasoned with so they should be eradicated. It was dumb to even have that kind of discussion because Im not Islam, hes not Islam, and we dont even know anyone that is. But still, he got pretty worked up and angry so I just left. The next day I broke up with him, because Ive put up with his moods for two years now and this was basically the last straw. We cant discuss anything without getting into a fight. But then I started feeling really guilty and I thought about all the good times we had and how I was going to miss him and I realized I really do love him. So I sent him a sweet text apologizing and I emailed him a very nice personalized poem expressing how I love him and want to make things right. This afternoon he texted that he accepted my apology but did not even address the nice poem. He seemed VERY cold. I remained very nice, and I texted asking if I could bring him some dinner tonight. His response was "If you want to, Ive got a ton of schoolwork thats due tomorrow though". It PISSED ME OFF!!!! So I texted "Well I dont have to come if youre busy" He continued texting and finally invited me over, but he was very, very cold and short with his texts. I am so mad. I really poured my heart out to him in that email and I got absolutely NOTHING FROM HIM!! My questions is, should I keep begging and try to make things work??? Or just let it go?? He obviously doesnt care to see me and it seems like Im a nuisance to him. And that brings us right back to why I dumped him in the first place!! Any advice?? We have been together 2 years!!!

Best things to eat after a late-night cardio work-out?

I do muay thai on monday and wednesday nights from 8-10, and I dont know what to eat after them or if I shouldnt eat anything at all. All of the things I have read tell me I should eat carbs after my work-out because thats when my body will most readily absorb them, but is 10 pm really a good time to eat raisins and whole wheat cheerios? Three weeks ago I was shopping and this lady came up to and asked what I did for a living and she said she just admired me from a distance. She like how I so called looked professional. She then started telling me about this job offer that she wanted me to do which was to be her assistant in her business and her personal assistant as well. She is an Insurance agent and she is a pastor. She asked me what do I make a year and what is my career. She said well she wont be able to pay me what Im used to but shell pay me under the table until I get my insurance license. Which was supposed to be a month after Friday, June 12, 2009. So I took up the offer and went to her house right after we met. She seemed like a nice Christian women. She invited me to her church that Sunday. I went and enjoyed it. I continued to go Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I thought that this was good for me because I had been looking for a good non-denominational church. I started work in and her office it was so unorganized. Every 5 minutes she would holler at me to find a clients file that could be anywhere. Then every ten minutes she was praying. Then she gave me about 10 things to do in 5 minutes. When I would try to talk to her and ask her questions she would either ignore me or holler at me and tell me that I need to read. Then when ever I was trying to complete the task I would have to research to find out who to call, where to call or whatever. Then she would be like okay she’s done in her office, come and lets watch t.v. or lets go to the beach. Im thinking I havent even finished the list. Every day would seem that way and when I wasnt done she would ask me did I complete something. I would say no. Then she would get all over me!! I felt like I was going in circles. She said she had menopause. Some days I would have to buy groceries, pick up her granddaughter from day care. Run back and forth dropping off packages. Then the day came for me to get paid she told me that she wasnt going to pay me until the next week. I didnt approve of that but I gave her a chance. She would ask me for gas money and I said no. I started feeling used and like she was using Gods name in vain for a lot of issues. She then told me that she dont know what shes going to pay me, shes going to let God tell her what to pay me! I couldnt take it any longer. So I went back one more day and just walked through he house and grabbed my personal information and left right back out. I went to the church and explained the situation to the pastor and I asked him to pray for her and that she owed me money. I was for warned by one of her daughters that she was snake in the grass and she used so many people and they left her. The people in church acts as if they love her and she’s been there before me. I hope they don’t think I’m lying on her because they have known her longer than me. This past Wednesday July 1, 2009, she told me she was going to finally pay me. She said in front of her friends, for me to let her know how much she owes me. I told her cool and I took her the receipts and she gave me a $20.00 bill and drove off from the church. She still owes me for the two and a half weeks I worked for her. Her daughter called and told me that her mother told her not to talk me anymore because I’m bad news. All I did was try to help her. What shall I do about the money even though it was an under the table job?
Answer: NEVER accept a job that pays you under the table... Did you have a set ammount per hour? If you have no paper work providing evidence that she said she would pay you a certain ammount of money, then she owes you nothing by law. You can't trust anyones word anymore, not even the church, it's quite sad honestly.

My ex boyfriend and best friend sabotaged me?

So this summer I started dating one of my best friends, It was going great until we had to go to band camp and school started. During band we would talk every day and everything was fine. Then we got our schedules and we didnt have any classes together, so I figured we would have to break up eventually. I was going to do it when marching season ended when we wouldnt see each other at all. The friday before school started my best friend was texting me and she started to tell me that I should break up with him, that it would be easier for me to do it now before we got to close and me thinking well she has a point I would think about it. I started talking to my boyfriend and he agreed that it would be hard to have a relationship when we have no classes together, so we broke up and he said he still had feelings for me and I told him I still had feelings for him as well, but its best if we break up now before we got even closer. Anyways that night I went to the movies with my friends (my best friend was there) and she asked if I still liked him and I said of course, but you had convinced me it would have been better if we broke up now and not later. Then that monday when school started I noticed them talking and him following her around and on tuesday he had walked her to class, so I just figured she liked him, but he still liked me then on wednesday I found out that they had been dating since that monday! I was so shocked and hurt that my best friend would have said yes to him when she knew I still had feelings for him. What hurts the most is that they have nothing in common! I asked her to tell me 10 things they had in common she said, "Well I dont know him very well yet." I just dont know what I should do, should I just get over it and forgive my best friend or forget about them both? Im so distraught I just need some advice...
