Ramadan:a little survey if you dont mind?
okay, so some of these questions may be a little personal, if you feel they are, ignore those ones and answer whatever you feel comfortable with. and please dont insult other answerers for their answers. and also, some are hypothetical questions so please dont go off on anyone for saying something cause they may or may not really do whatever anyways. these questions are just some random questions just to see what you guys think. i was bored at the time i thought these up and i was actually asking myself the questions in my head and decided to see what others would say. todays topic is: MARRIAGE.
1)how old were you when you got married?
2)if youre not married, how old would you LIKE to be when you get married?
3)how do you imagine your wedding? will you follow cultural ceremonies or will you go according to islam? be honest because you may be able to fool us but that doesnt matter, we cant punish you or reward you or do anything to/for you anyways, only Allah can and HE already Knows what you intend and what will happen.
4)would you want a big ceremony with family and friends and all sorts of people just simple (whatevers necessary), witnesses bride, groom, brides mahram or whatever, maybe parents.....
5)will you do anything special your wedding night? (and no, i dont mean intercourse)
6)if so what?
7)if no, why not?
8)where would you get married?
9)do you think youll be nervous when you and your new spouse are finally alone?
10)on a scale of 1-10 how awkward do you think your first conversation (after being married) will be?
11)[WARNING:THIS IS A LITTLE PERSONAL] will you, get intimate with your partner the first night or will you be too shy?
12)will you two live together right away or give it a little time?
13)the next morning, you wake up, do you think itll be a little awkward with someone lying next to you, someone you dont know too well (of course they wont be a total stranger, but i think you know what i mean)?
14)so the next day, youre married and all and youre living together, how will you act around them?
15)would you feel awkward if you woke up (this is after youve made Fajr and maybe went back to sleep) and theyd gotten up ahead of time and made you breakfast in bed and all? what would you say? (this questions waaaay weird but it happened in a dream i had and i was wondering how others might respond if it happened to them).
16)if youre married, what was the first two weeks of your marriage like?
17)if youve been divorced and remarried, did things go a little easier the second time around?
18)if youre married already, were you shy to touch (doesnt have to be sexual touch, just touching period...) your spouse for a bit or were you perfectly comfortable?
19)[WARNING:THIS IS A LITTLE PERSONAL] who made the first move towards the other once you were alone, you or your spouse?
20)if youre married already, were you shy around your new inlaws or were you cool with them?
21)what about being around your spouse and their family at the same time. was it awkward to show affection for your new spouse around their family? with their parents or siblings watching? even just to hold hands or something, was it even a little weird?
22)if youve been married for at least a year, what did you do for your first anniversary?
23)how long did you wait to have kids? (not intercourse, i mean to actualy have kids)?
24) was the first pregnancy an accident or planned?
25)now that youve completed this silly survey (if you have) feel free to ask a question yourself about the topic and ill answer your questions!
oh, please state your gender in your sources......well, if we cant tell by your name or avatar
these are just random questions i asked myself after a strange dream i had...........not important.................well, some of them i came up with on the spot..............but anyhow thanks for answering them instead of just saying "too long" like a lot of people do
why? because lately ive been having dreams about that, so i created an account to ask about it.NO, IM NOT LOOKING TO GET MARRIED NOW, im 16, i want to wait till im 22 (yes "........" i know you said that too, but i swear id thought that before i read your answer and i really am 16, turn 17 next month on the 18th) .............idk, my thoughts have been weird lately
Answer: 1)not married
2)maybe 22
3)simple, sticking to what's Islamic, honestly.
4)what's necessary and ten of course our families, maybe a few friends, not many though, the wedding doesn't have to be big. we'll invite a lot of people to the walimah, but we'll try not to be flashy and extravagant so as to avoid sin....
5)yup
6)uh.....that's hard cause i'd have to know what she'd like to do, but whatever it was it'd be fun!
7)see above
8)0_0.never thought about that......my my parents got married at my aunt's house, that aunt got married at her mother's house, and my other aunt got married at a Masjid.........i think the masjid ides is best, although it's not a must, i'd prefer to get married at a Masjid
9) TERRIFIED!!!!
10) 50,000,000
11) uh, this is a bit personal, but i'd be too shy to make a move so if we did it'd be by her doing, not me.......i'll be scared out of my mind
12)Insha'Allah yes we will
13) if i wake up first it'll be weird, and this sounds a bit odd, but it may give me a chance to admire her beauty without having to worry what she's thinking of me while i stare at her..however if she wakes up first and i wake up to see her staring at me, YIKES! i won't know what to do.
14) shyly of course, but i'll try to make her feel at home
15)i'd be grateful but again, it'd be awkward.although maybe i'll try that, get up extra early to make her breakfast.....good idea........
16)not married
17)never been married
18)not married but i will be scared out of my mind.......
19)uh, i guess she might expect me to make the first move so if she makes none within the first two weeks then maybe i'll be comfortable enough by then to make a move myself......
20)AAAAH! in laws!!!!! yikes, keep them away! no, jk, i'll be a little worried, trying to have a good impression on them, but i won't avoid them or anything.......
21)like kissing or holding hands or whatever? uh, it'd be very scary doing such around them.....so i wouldn't...i'd be scared just sitting next to her around her parents, especially her father!
22)not married
23)aye aye aye!!!!!! no hijos! no hijos! no hijos!
24) 0_0 see above......okay maybe one..but not right away, so definitely planned!
25)uh........no questions

I wrote this text correctly? Thank you for your help!?
The wedding is a very important moment in the life of every couple. A few months ago I was invited to a very special wedding. The bride was my best friend . The event itself was to take place on the 15th of June, but the preparations started a lot sooner than the actual date of the event. When I read the invitation cover, I knew the occasion would be magical. Since they had met on the beach, the wedding was sea themed. The preparations included setting up decorations( turquoise and white balloons, flowers) ordering special dishes, as well as various entertainment for everyone. The party after the ceremony took place in the nearest restaurant.
On the day of the anniversary, everything was ready. I started preparations a month before, choosing a flawless turquoise dress. In that day I woke up at 11 am, having hairdresser appointment. I choose a simple hairdo but, at the same time sophisticated. Then, I get my nails done, and I dressed. I arrived 20 minutes before the appointed time and I waited, nervous the wedding couple. The first thing I noticed upon entering the interior was an enormous adorned cake in the middle of the interior. All decorations had the shape of sea themed objects such as fish, shells and boats. After having an ample dinner, champagne corks popped as the guests drank a toast to the happy couple. We were amazed about the exceptional atmosphere of the celebration however, what we were most astounded about was the performances that came after the toasts. Were there a variety of sea themed plays with real actors but also movies shown on huge plasmas with a short history of the couple. Also, they had a picture of them on a big picture frame surrounding picture to sign your name and write a message.
The fantastic anniversary ended with the couple being given a variety of presents from the guests.
Thank you very much!

15 yr wedding anniversary?
I want to start planning on my 15 yr wedding anniversary. We turn 11 yrs this next Dec and I want to give my wife a great present with a big celebration on our 15 yrs since on our 10 yr I was working as usual. I have been away from the house working for way too long so I want o make this very special(8 yrs in the military with various deployments and now work internationally in the oil field business). I want to make it real special and include my 3 daughters in the ceremony. I want to make the reception on new years eve since our anniversary is on Dec 30th. Also we live in TX but the reception will be in Puerto Rico so no problem with cold weather at all since we are born and raised over there. I will like to do something nice with at least 5K; something simple but really nice. Please help me out!!!!!!
Puerto Rico is tropical just like Hawaii. I pretty much got the venue because I want to use the same one as our wedding. My main concern is what to do since I want to do it on Dec 31.
Yes we are both born and raised there and our entire families are there we are the only ones out of PR. Also I really dont want a religious ceremony though since I became atheist and she is still somewhat a believer.
Answer: You could do a vow renewal......have your daughters as your "attendants/flower girls". Get your wife a lovely piece of jewelry, a ring for her right hand, a necklace, earrings, bracelet....what ever you think she would like.
My concern is that if you are planning this Puerto Rico.....do you have family there, or are you expecting your family and friends to travel there from Texas?????
Good Luck!
