Voters-Covert Racism Alive and Well in America,Does this Surprise you?
"People are usually reluctant to admit their real feelings in surveys, but theres no doubt that our experiences and our prejudices play a part in the way we vote. In order to figure out whether racial bias affected Barack Obamas results in the 2008 presidential election, Seth Stephens-Davidowitz, a doctoral candidate in economics at Harvard University, passed over easy-to-manipulate surveys and looked at data from another source: online searches.
Though many people believe that our first African-American president won the election thanks in part to increased turnout by African-American voters, Stephens-Davidowitzs research shows that those votes only added about 1 percentage point to Obamas totals. "In the general election, this effect was comparatively minor," he concludes. But in areas with high racial search rates, the fact that Obama is African American worked against him, sometimes significantly.
"The results imply that, relative to the most racially tolerant areas in the United States, prejudice cost Obama between 3.1 percentage points and 5.0 percentage points of the national popular vote," Stephens-Davidowitz points out in his study. "This implies racial animus gave Obamas opponent roughly the equivalent of a home-state advantage country-wide."
"Any votes Obama gained due to his race in the general election were not nearly enough to outweigh the cost of racial animus, meaning race was a large net negative for Obama," he adds.
The state with the highest racially charged search rate was West Virginia, where 41 percent of voters chose Keith Judd, a white man who is also a convicted felon currently in prison in Texas, over Obama just this May. Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Alabama, and New Jersey rounded out the top 10 most-racist areas, according to the search queries used.
Even if states that are considered fairly liberal, racism is prevalent enough in certain areas to put the entire state high up on the list. "Other areas with high percentages included western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, upstate New York and southern Mississippi," Stephens-Davidowitz points out in his New York Times article."

Answer: Samuel L. Jackson: I Voted For Obama 'Because He Was Black'
"I voted for Barack because he was black. Cause that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them," Jackson said, according to the New York Post.
He contended that Obama's message wasn't important, since he believes most politicians will say anything to get elected.
"That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean [anything] to me. In the end, he’s a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do. I know politicians ... lie cause they want to get elected," he continued, according to TMZ.

With Barack Obama disenfranchsing Floridians, would you vote for this "game player"?
Before you answer, consider the following:
-Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were on the Florida ballot.
-Neither campaigned in Florida (contrary to some popular myths that state that Hillary campaigned here and therefore had an unfair advantage),
-Hillary Clinton captured 49.77% of the vote to Obamas 32.93 (John Edwards, who was still in the race in January 2008 captured 14.38%).
Barack Obamas campaign has proposed a 50-50 split with the Florida delegates. Yet this "solution" would essentially take all of John Edwards votes and give them
to Obama, essentially disenfranchising all of Edwards voters and making the unwarranted assumption that had Edwards dropped out before the primary, all of his voters would
have voted for Obama.
Keep in mind, Obama has stated time and again he wants to end the "game playing", yet this sort of "game playing" is nothing new for him. In Illinois he ran UNOPPOSED
for the US Senate seat in 2004, so he would have won even if no one had showed up to vote. Now Obama is saying he wants 17% (mostly from Edwards) to go to him.
Knowing that Obama is essentially disenfranchising Floridas Democratic voters, and that he has shown time and again "game playing" votes and shenanigans
are not beneath him, would you, as a Florida Democratic voter, vote for Obama?
Id like to get input from everyone, but especially Florida Democratic voters who had voted for Edwards.
Answer: Obama did not disenfranchise Floridians. The Democratic Party bosses in FL chose to ignore a DNC rule about when to hold their primary. They were told that if they violated the rule their delegates would not be seated at the convention. They went ahead and chose to break their own party's rules. Now they have to pay the consequences.

Do u think Obamas race is an advantage or disadvantage? who would make a better candidate and why do you?
support them? Ive switched from Billary to Obama for these reasons.
He has ten years experience in public office, more than the two other Democratic candidates.
Hillary Clinton (6+yrs-Senator NY) and John Edwards (6+yrs Senator from NC). Baracks first eight years spent in the Illinois senate before his two years (and counting) of service in the U.S. Senate, should not be forgotten.
Far away from the Washington spotlight, he introduced, voted on and passed bills, debated with his colleagues—something that was missing in Washington, where everything is settled in the backroom—and arduously worked to satisfy his constituents.
Most important of all, he learned how to work across the aisle, and get stuff done.. Like EITC.
"When you come in, especially as a freshman, and work on something like ethics reform, its not necessarily a way to endear yourself to some of the veteran members of the Illinois General Assembly," said state Sen. Kirk W. Dillard, a Republican who became a friend.
Answer: Thank you for being one of the few people who seem to realize that Barack Obama does indeed have a lot of experience, despite the propaganda that Hillary Clinton spreads about him. As far as his race being an advantage or a disadvantage, I would have to say both. It is an advantage in some ways because many people are eager to see a black man as president. Unfortunately, not as many blacks are supporting Barack as was believed (but yet he still hangs in there!). In some ways his race is a disadvantage because many people are still stuck in old stubborn ways and would not like to see a man of color lead the nation----some people are just not ready for it, plain and simple. Also, many people may think that his race is what is influencing many people, but fortunately for Obama (and this is one of the many things I love about him), he does not mention his race in order to gain publicity. Depending on which viewpoint you are looking at it from, his race could be either an advantage or a disadvantage. Me personally, I love Barack, and I support him faithfully. Though I am a black man as well, his race had absolutely nothing to do with me supporting him. Go Barack! Obama 08!

We have heard about the fundraising prowess of Senator Obama, but what about this ...?
The Wall Street Journal (not YouTube) reports on the state of the money race: ...it appears Sen. Obamas money advantage is far smaller than it was assumed to be early on. [...] Fund-raising reports through July show that the DNC and Sen. Obama have raised about $150 million but spent much of it already; going into August, the campaign reported having $68.5 million on hand. The reports also showed that in July, the campaign was spending at a rate that was faster than donations were coming in. The Obama campaign declined to comment on its fund raising or spending in August. One major donor said it is likely the campaign has only a small cash cushion at the moment."
We keep hearing that Obamas primary qualification for running for president is his experience managing his campaign. Obama running a campaign and spending too much money. Is this how he will manage the country, if elected president?
Answer: Good question and if you recall Hillary actually ran out of money while she was campagining. She asked for more money. So if Obama does get elected and runs out of money, I guess he will ask us tax payers for more money.

Hillarys camp has to use the needle of racism to proffer her thesis that Obama is inferior re race. Why?
Geraldine Ferraro a former VP candidate for the Democratic Party made racial remarks about Senator Barack Obama
I believe that she intentionally made these remarks ( and I believe with Hillary Clintons blessings to capture an advantage among those who are racist. Ferraros thesis statement was too carefully stated to make one believe it was a slip of the tongue. Hillary just dismissed this statement with the comment she does not agree.
Hillary Clinton, ( actually endorsed Ferroros thesis) She did not repudiate that comment as ( Obama repudiated the Monster Comment) which was not racist. ( I myself would classify Hillary Clinton as such because her behaviour certainly demonstrates this.
Answer: Wrong section...just wanted to point that out.
Ooops nm...My computer is being weird.

Which of the top 7 reasons do you think are the most worrisome for Obama?
1. Race. “The idea that Obama was going to win in a blowout was always preposterous,” says former Nebraska senator and onetime presidential hopeful Bob Kerrey, an Obama backer. “A big piece of this, of course, is whether white people are going to support a black guy. ... If [Obama] is a tall, skinny white guy named Paul Jones, its a different story.”
2. Obama’s strength in Virginia may be overhyped. His chances of ending the Democrats 44-year losing streak in the commonwealth are pretty good — thanks to the explosive growth of the liberal D.C. suburbs, and a 147,000 spike in voter registration sure to benefit Democrats. But Obama’s aides privately concede his odds in Virginia are probably no better than 50-50 and that the state is far from a lock-solid hedge if he loses Ohio and Florida.
3. Michigan’s in play for McCain. In the year of the downturn, the hard-hit upper Midwest should be prime Obama country. Instead it’s a potential minefield. Obama is still ahead by two to five points there — similar to margins of victory enjoyed by Gore and Kerry in the last two presidential contests — but McCain has quietly crept up over the past month and could vault ahead if he anoints ex-Gov. Mitt Romney as his running mate. Simmering tensions between predominantly black Detroit and its white suburbs could hurt Obama. And McCain’s surrogates were handed a gift in the jailing of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, an Obama supporter.
4. Bad times could be good for McCain. If anger helps Democrats, fear works to the advantage of Republicans. A growing number of Democratic strategists worry that some swing state voters may opt for McCain if the economy veers from merely awful to downright terrifying. The typical political calculus —that bad economic times will deliver the White House to Democrats — may not hold if people start viewing the downturn as, essentially, a national security crisis that can’t be entrusted to a novice. And that was McCain’s underlying message in his Paris Hilton ad: Bank failures, soaring gas prices and plummeting house values are forms of economic terrorism, and he’s an all-purpose anti-terror warrior.
5. Where have you gone, Ross Perot? Bill Clinton, the lone two-term Democratic president since FDR, wouldn’t have been elected if independent Ross Perot hadn’t siphoned 19 percent of the vote in 1992. Former Georgia Rep. Bob Barr, staging an indie bid from McCain’s right, has little cash and doesn’t seem to be a factor in competitive states.
6. The Legacy of LBJ, Jimmy and Bubba. Barack Obama would have been a trailblazer no matter what —but the Democrats’ trail to the White House has been remarkably narrow since 1960, accommodating only Southern whites with border-state strength: Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. (Add Al Gore if you’re counting the popular vote.)
7. Americans may want divided government. Some Democratic operatives think a possible landslide for their party in congressional races could backfire on Obama.

This is what I have been saying all along - Obama definitely has the advantage?
I have stated in Previous posts over the last few weeks that the problem with the polling is that it excludes cell phone users and College students (Most only have cell phones)
This demographic favors Obama. Given this I thought it was going to be a landslide Victory for Obama when he was significantly ahead before. And although now that the race is closer, Obama still has the advantage because of all the Young Democratic Voters not included in any polls. What do you think? And will the Victory for Obama be even greater than anticipated?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080925/ap_on_el_pr/polls_cell_phones
Combining polls it conducted in August and September, Pew found that of people under age 30 with only cell phones, 62 percent were Democrats and 28 percent Republicans. Among landline users the same age that gap was narrower: 54 percent Democrats, 36 percent GOP.
Answer: Very good point.
I wondered where the pollsters were finding all these McCain supporters. I haven't actually met any.

What do you think about obamas corrupt secret strategies?
Now that the conventions are behind us, the 2008 election is shaping up to be much closer than anyone would have believed months ago.
Still, it will be an uphill battle for John McCain as Barack Obama has the advantage this year.
If Obama wins, it should be a wake-up call to Republicans that the nation’s political landscape has dramatically changed, making it difficult for Republicans to win national elections.
A key factor in the challenge facing Republicans is shifting demographics. States such as Texas, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada, once considered solid red states, are now faltering for the GOP.
In George W. Bush’s home state of Texas, African-Americans and Hispanics — traditionally Democratic voters — form a majority of the population. In 2006, Texas’ popular Republican Gov. Rick Perry won re-election with just 39 percent of the vote in a three-way race.
McCain is still expected to win Texas this time. But Republican majorities in other states are fraying.
Obama knows this. He has solid blue states New York and Massachusetts in his back pocket, along with most of the Northeast. Add to his base titanic California with 55 electoral voters and other left coast states like Oregon and Washington.
There is no indication any of these states will move to the right. In fact, these blue states are moving further to the left. Ronald Reagan won New York in the 1980 and 1984 presidential elections. It is doubtful a conservative Republican will win the Empire State any time soon.
This is why Obama and his campaign are so confident of victory. This is why he could pick Joe Biden as his vice presidential running mate, though Biden adds so little to his campaign.
With such a solid base, Obama knows he needs to focus his campaign in just a handful of states, such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Montana, Missouri, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and North Carolina.
If he picks off a few of these states that have traditionally voted Republican in national elections — Colorado and New Mexico, for example — he wins.
McCain, on the other hand, has to run a national campaign to keep his base together and at the same time engage in battle with Obama for these key swing states.
To win, McCain must think outside the box. His pick of Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin indicates he realizes he needs to run a different campaign to beat Obama, the front-runner. McCain’s difficulties are compounded by the likelihood that Obama will outspend McCain by a ratio of 3-to-1 or more in these key swing states.
Obama’s massive campaign spending at the micro level is showing. Anecdotally, I have heard stories about massive voter registration drives and preparations to get out the vote with the help of unions, teachers, and other Obama fans.
Chief among these groups is ACORN, or Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a radical group that has been caught engaging in voter fraud. Not surprisingly, Obama has close ties to the group since his days as a “community organizer” in Chicago.
The New York Times noted that Obama had been a key ally of ACORN. His influence at charitable foundations “allowed him to help direct tens of millions of dollars in grants.” The paper also noted the key role ACORN played in helping him win his first state Senate race in Illinois.
ACORN’s Web site features a lead article about its voter drive for this election year. The group says it has already signed up more than a million new voters for the upcoming elections.
Joining the group’s efforts in registering new voters is the Rev. Al Sharpton. He is quoted saying that he and ACORN are targeting the states of Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama.
ACORN calls its voter registration campaign “Not This Time” — a reference to the 2000 election when Al Gore lost the presidency by a handful of votes in Florida.
Obama’s team has no plans to repeat the 2000 election. They want to win with a bigger margin, and they have a “whatever it takes” approach to make sure that happens.

STATE OF THE RACE: ADVANTAGE, OBAMA
President Barack Obama heads out of the national political conventions with a much clearer path to winning, top advisers to Mitt Romney privately concede.
Obamas new comments: racist or harmless?
In a recent interview in Vogue, when asked about being of mixed race Obama stated, "It gives me an advantage because I have the upper half of a white man and the lower half of a black man." A few days later he claimed he meant that he was raised in an upper class white society with lower class black values so he could relate to a broader scope of people. To me though, it still sounds like he meant he had a white mans brain and a black mans package. So do you think his comment was racist or harmless?
Answer: I am assuming he never made this statement, if he had it would be playing 24/7 on Fox.

Does Romney have a Legitimate Chance Against Obama?
I was just kinda wondering if he even stands a chance. I know that Obama has the incumbency advantage. A lot of states are switching over to being more republican.
I am not really a staunch supporter of Romney or Obama by any means but I am still interested in the Presidential race.
Personally I think Obama will win because the odds seem to be in his favor but there is still a chance that the way things have changed over the past few years will sway voters, So it might actually be a "fair" fight.
Answer: I, like you, don't like either candidate. However, I think it will be a close fight. Many do not like Obama care, so that gives a big disadvantage to Obama, however there is no gurantee that Romney will repeal Obama care, since the health care plan in his state was the basis for Obama care. Plus, many are prejudice towards Romney because he is a mormon, and that scares many people. However, many people have also started to hate Obama. It defineltly looks like a close race at this point, but anything can happen.

Does it surprise anyone that Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona has had increasing poll numbers?
since the Immigration debate went Viral and Obama decided to sue her state? Would it be to her advantage to invite Obama to another round of "WHO DO YOU LOVE"?
A new Rasmussen survey of the Arizona governors race is out this morning, and the results look good for Republican Gov. Jan Brewer. The poll shows Brewer up 56%-37% over Democratic state Attorney General Terry Goddard.
Answer: I'd want a governor who is willing to stand up to Obama, regardless of where I stand on the issue.
The fact that I agree with her helps even more.

How come Obama can play the race card, Shouldnt it be wrong no matter who uses it to their advantage?
It seems that we all are aware that the majority of the black voters will vote for Obama, and he counts on that. He knows that the majority of th black voters that vote for him do so for one reason, because of his race. Almost every thing I here from the media is that he will carry those states with a large black population. He underestimates black voters though, I think that they may surprise him, hopefully they will understand that he believes since they are black that he gets their vote. That is sad. Perhaps they will get wise to him. No one should assume that the color of a politicians skin will get him or her the votes of their own race. Are we as a nation past all of that or did all those like Martin Luther King, who said we should be measured not by the color of our skin but the content of our character. Yet black voters are being measured by the color of their skin only.
Answer: Obama has never asked anyone to vote for him because of his race. In fact, he has said many times that his views about race are the same as Senator Clinton.
Americans know a lot about Martin Luther King Jr. the myth but they know little about the real Martin Luther King Jr. who headed the Southern Leadership Conference. I suspect that both Clinton and Obama know but they will be silent about him. Any politician who spoke true about MLK would be finished because the myth has supplanted reality.

Why do I see people stating that Obama won b/c of his race or b/c of Affirmative Action?
Obama figured out that Clinton had everything riding on Super Tuesday and exploited her strategy.
He also figured out that he had to stay on message when campaigning against McCain (which McCain himself did not do). If anyone watched closely enough, youd have seen Obama say that McCain=Bush about 63 million times. McCain tried to paint Obama as an inexperienced guy who didnt understand foreign policy, a terrorist, a smooth talking socialist, and a guy involved in voter fraud w/ ACORN. Not only did Obama use McCains inconsistent attacks against him, but Obama kept hammering the same point about McCain.
McCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=BushMcCain=Bush, etc.
Bush did the same thing to Kerry with the "voted for the war before I voted against it" comment. KEEP THE MESSAGE CONSISTENT.
Why do I see people stating that Obama won over race?
Obama won because hes resourceful enough to use his opponents attacks to his own advantage. He even used the financial meltdown to his advantage by painting McCain as an erratic panicking politician who didnt understand the problem at hand. Obama made victory look easy, people loose sight that he went through a 21 month campaign to knock off the leader of the Dem party. If hes so much more inexperienced then Palin, than how did Palin manage to have so many gaffs and humiliating leaks in only 10 weeks time?
Answer: Rationalization. These people just don't want to admit that Obama was the better candidate and that an overwhelming majority of Americans support his policies. It's kind of like some Seahawks fans blaming their Superbowl XL loss on the refs. Also there are some racists that actually think that the only way an African American can succeed is because of Affirmative Action. They usually blame their own failures on race. Thankfully, this is a small minority that keeps getting smaller.

Is the propaganda for Obama the same as the old propaganda for WMD?
Lets face it. The Media participated in the propaganda for WMD before the Iraq war. Later, instead of investigating the CIA incompetence, the Media blamed Bush who himself was fooled.
Now the Media participates in the propaganda for Obama. When it is the easiest thing in the world to validate Obamas "academic degrees and honors" by checking his actual grades and scores on standardized tests, the Media instead continues the propaganda of his "academic degrees and honors".
All the "academic degrees and honors" awarded to Obama just scream to be investigated. They do not make sense. Individuals with similar academic degrees and honors have exceptional intellectual/professional work during college and after college. Where are Obamas grades, legal writings, legal cases, legal accomplishments, peer reviews?
For example, Obamas "Magna" honor was given to him for the color of his skin and his skills to get elected a president of HLR. First, Obama took advantage of a special program for Blacks to became an editor of HLR without the required good grades. Then, Obama used his skills to take advantage of racial turmoil to get elected a president of HLR. When Obama became a President of HLR, some of his grades probably mysteriously "improved". Also, Harvard found itself trapped and had to give Obama a "Magna" honor because it would be racist to have a president of HLR without Magna.
The "Professor" is another propaganda piece. University of Chicago hired Obama as a lecturer to fill racial quotas. Obama was teaching fluff courses related to race issues and not much else. Obama has never published any academic work. UC Professors publicly stated that Obama was never considered for any position anywhere near a Professor. All the classes Obama taught were related mainly to race issues sprinkled with some other subjects, basically a Jesse Jackson with lipstick.
If Obama gets elected and turns out to be a skilled fanatic with poor intellect then who the Media is going to blame? Africa is full of leaders with good verbal skills, with tall slogans, with poor intellects, who start a lot of civil wars.
Answer: Yes,
it was convenient to believe in WMD before the Iraq war, and it is convenient today to believe in Obama "intellect and leadership" before the civil war to be started soon by the lack of obama's intellect and leadership. The only question is who will be blamed this time?

Is Obama Doomed to Lose in the General Election and be Democrat Loss #3?
Obama had Primary advantages he will not have in a General Election:
1) Running Against a Democrat is a cake walk compared to a Republican.
2) Caucuses are chaotic, can be dominated, short time frame
3) Black Voters only make up a small percentage of the General Electrorate and represent a much higher percentage of Democrats
4) MI and FL will vote. Everey State will vote Obama will not be able to toss out any states not favorable to him. he already infuriated 2 States.
5) Obama has alienated and offended so many people based on: age, gender, race, education, socioeconomic status, people that oppose his character and his moral and ethical background of lying, drugs, choosing a separatist church, his racist books, "typical white person" " "bitter", Bad Judgment: Rezko (Muslim Crook Friend), Ayers, Wright.
6) Obamas message of hope and change was lifted from Bush and will be debunked. At 47, hes hardly accomplished anything to help people.
Only Hillary can face McCain and Win!
Answer: Yes, He's DOOMED.... not to mention his already proven racist wife.

If Obama is so wonderful why is he losing traction in every key state he need to win?
North Carolina Leaning Towards McCain
In North Carolina, voters are leaning more in John McCain’s direction than they have at any point since March.
Minnesota: Obama’s Lead Down to Four Points
Much of Barack Obama’s 12-point lead over John McCain has disappeared in Minnesota. He is now ahead of his Republican rival by only four percentage points 46% to 42%, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Minnesota voters.
Colorado’s a Toss-Up: McCain Edges Ahead for First Time
The race for Colorado’s Electoral College votes is about as close as it can be on the eve of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Barack Obama attracting 44% of the vote while John McCain earns 41%. When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 47% and McCain 45%.
Virginia Still a Toss-up Between Obama and McCain
It’s hard to imagine a closer political race than the battle for Virginia’s Electoral College votes. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the race shows Barack Obama with a statistically insignificant one-point advantage over John McCain, 45% to 44%. When “leaners” are factored in, it’s McCain with a statistically insignificant one-point edge, 48% to 47%.
McCain Takes Slight Lead Again in Nevada
The race for Nevada’s Electoral College votes remains close, but for the fourth time in the last five months John McCain has a slight advantage. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows McCain attracting 45% of the vote while Obama earns 42%.
Kansas: McCain Holds 15-point Lead Over Obama 52% to 37%
Barack Obama has narrowed the gap slightly, but John McCain still leads his Democratic opponent by 15 percentage points 52% to 37% in the reliably red state of Kansas.

Answer: Because this country is beginning to see Obama for the Socialist he is. And I'm sure him already flip flopping on campaign promises (he said he wouldn't raise the taxes that fund Social Security for people who make more than $250K/yr until 2019, when earlier he made it sound like it would happen as soon as he came into power) doesn't help matters much.
