What is the tentative mars mission date?
I heard George HW Bush (the first Bush in office) make a commitment date in 1990 to land a person on Mars by the year 2020. Im betting thats not going to happen. Is there a tentative year or date for this mission at all now?
Answer: there is no "push" to get there with a manned mission. i suspect the 1st mars mission will be a phobos landing. this would be much simpler and cheaper than a landing on mars. even more likely would be an asteroid rendezvous mission. the obama admin. has mudded the waters of nasa. there is no manned mission focus any more.

If you are in a labor union, what are you doing to organize a union for none union workers?
I have been in the labor force for 40 years, and noone ever approached me to organize or join a union. I would have joined. This is why unions atr losing their influence. Also, if you are a Teamster, why did you support Rona;d Reagan, George HW Bush and George W Bush, when they have been the union busting presidents?
Answer: Unions have had their value in the past, but nowdays its rare to find a union that is better than the employer.
AA & certain major automakers are the kind of exception though.
If I were union, I would in fact be making a lot less anyway, and would in fact be less secure in benefits & payrate and I make nearly $45/hr. As a software developer.
Now if I were still a Computer OPerator, it might be a different story, but even then I was making double what union operators in a nearby company made.

Why do they even bother with the political conventions anymore?
I remember when the Presidential candidates were actually picked at the convention, yeah Im that old. Like Kennedy and Nixon in 1960 or Goldwater in 1964; later the candidates were chosen by the voters through the primary system, but the VP announcement was still done at the convention into the 90s. An exception was George HW Bush picking Dan Quayle in 1988 before the convention. The thing is, what is there to do anymore except speeches. And that is all weve heard for 2 years.
Answer: I believe our forefathers could not image how huge and expensive these conventions would become.Boils down not who the popilar pick is by the citizens but the pick of the electors sent to the convention by them. 100% of the popular vote could be ignored and another elected . Of course come next election these people would be voted out of office, but it copuld happen.

How come all the republicans keep trying to continue the "trickle down effect?"?
From what my teacher told me...and CNN data...
The last few republicans to be president (George W and HW Bush and Ronald Reagan) has been taking off the tax from big businesses...Which resulted in our country to fall in debt (However Clinton took us out of debt before George W Bush)
The idea is that if you give the big businesses money then they will increase the wages to employers and lower the prices for products...But it HASNT worked...Why do they keep continuing it?
Answer: Because it Does work! Take a look at history, piece it all together, When Reagan became president the economy was horrible, He had to work hard to get us out of the hole Previous presidents had gotten us in to. When Bush senior became President he had to continue that work, By the time Clinton became President they had built our economy up so well it took him 8 years to tear it down again, the economy was on a down ward spiral when he left office, and Bush Jr. is getting sole blame for something that started before he took office. I will concede that Bush Jr. has not done as well as his Dad, but take a look at the Democrat controlled congress, that is helping to make this economy even worse. the trickle down effect may not be perfect but socialism is worse, the government CAN NOT afford to support everyone, we have to do for ourselves. The trickle down effect causes more jobs more jobs mean less people needing government support which means less debt for our nation. common sense people stop believing the lies you hear on TV and piece history together for yourself, the truth is not hard to see. by TV I mean all news stations they are all biased and spin to their own side If you want to know the truth you need to find it yourself.

1 Lyndon B Johnson
2 Richard Nixon
3 Gerald R Ford
4 James Carter Jr.
5 Ronald Reagan
6 George HW Bush
7 William J Clinton
8 George w Bush
What did each of the presidents above do to combat poverty in the united states alone.
Answer: 1 Lyndon B Johnson - launched the Great Society to try to combat poverty, but his plans were derailed due to the Vietnam War.
2 Richard Nixon - was preoccupied with foreign affairs, such as the Vietnam War and a detente between Russia and China
3 Gerald R Ford - lasted 2 years after Nixon and did not do much
4 James Carter Jr. - cared about poverty but his plans were derailed by the energy crisis. Currently works with Habitat for Humanity.

Was Barack Obama the least qualified/experienced man to ever be elected president?
In comparison to other presidents Barack Obama is extremely inexperienced, most people elected president where either Governors of a state or a state senator....Obama was neither he was a Junior senator. On the other hand lets look at qualified presidents like George HW Bush, before George Bush the 1st became president he served in the navy at the age of 18, ran an oil company, became a senator, became director of the CIA, served as vice president for 8 years under Reagan and finally became the 41st president of the United States. Now what has Barack Obama done in comparison? He only became president because of a need to see a "black president" had he been white he would never have been elected president with such inexperience, what do you guys think?
@neato- because people still want a black president regardless of how bad he is for America
Answer: I am black but I have to agree by saying you are 100% right. The majority of people (blacks, gays, Latinos, women etc) only voted for Obama because he is black and tells them what they want to hear. For example during this election cycle he announced that he was suddenly fir gay marriage and suddenly open to a new immigration policy, anyone with a brain can see that Obama only did these things so that he could get re-elected and run this country into the ground. And yeah your right, Obama is far more inexperienced than George HW Bush (wow didn't know he accomplished that much!!!), Bill Clinton and even Ronald Reagan.

Events that happened douring george hw bush term?
What are some negative things that happened during George hw campaign and term. Like what bad acts did he pass and stuff like this I all ready know about invasion of Panama, savings and loan crisis, Exxon Valdez oil spill, gulf war. If you could give me some detail about other things that happened that would be great.
Answer: Old Bush senior, collected millions of dollars from US pharmaceutical company's using American children and military personnel as US pharmaceutical company testing human guinea pigs. When he made it federal law that all US children, and all US military personnel. Receive his government approved non human tested FDA injections, or face two years imprisonment.
This is why millions of American children today have Autism and other many disability's from given mercury injections as infants. No country in the world gives children thirty six injections before there six years old. Also millions of US military personnel are living with or died from gulf war syndrome from being injected with Anthrax. Most of them who died or are currently living disabled never even went to the gulf war.
You can google all of this, also watch videos on youtube, also google "Operation Doormouse", it's quite shocking, especially discovering Cheney, Rumsfeld were involved in it too.

How would the following Presidents have handled the hostage situation?
Of the captain being held by the Somali pirates?
Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan
George HW Bush
William Jefferson Clinton
George Walker Bush
Answer: We know how Carter would have handled it.
Reagan would have paid them off under the table like he did with Iran-Contra.
Bush 41 would have done the same.
Clinton would have sent in the Navy.
Bush 43 would have somehow messed it up.
LOL Sassy One.
And by the way, the hostage takers in Iran have long since insisted that they had no clue who Ronald Reagan was. I promise you, the radicals did not get together and say, "Hey, Jimmy Carter is President of the United States! Let's capture some Americans!" It had everything to do with the Shah (who they hated), everything.
Jimmy had an impossible choice to make, which was made even tougher by his stance on human rights. Do you give aid and comfort to a corrupt dictator who your country has supported for thirty years but tortures his people, or do you submit to the extreme religious figure, the Ayatollah?
What would you do?

Will the Democrats line up and apologize when George Bush wins the war on terror?
WE were blessed by 8 years of George W. How long before everyone realizes this?
Answer: Only history will vindicate George W. Bush's legacy as president. A president who would not back down or cater to anyone or anything. A man who lives by his morals and convictions and a presidency not plagued by scandals.
As history has proven Ronald Reagan one of the greatest presidents, so will history prove George W. Bush as well.
The democrats take credit for everything that goes well in the United States, proven by the fact that it was George HW Bush's economic policies that gave us the so-called Clinton prosperity. It was Bush's policies that went into effect at the end of his presidency that gave the US the prosperity, not anything Clinton did.
The US has not been attacked since the Sept. 11, 2001 attack, which is credited to George W. Bush taking the war on terror to the terrorists front door, keeping them on the run and not allowing them the time and resources to plan another attack.
Give it a few decades, George W. Bush will be vindicated.

Why did the George-HW-Bush appointee David Souter wait for Obama to take office before retiring?
He could have retired when GW Bush was still president. Instead, he decides to retire within the first 100 days of Obamas administration.
Does it have anything to do with the path the GOP has taken for the last 8 years?
Answer: Because when he was under bush he wasn't yet ready to retire.. what's the problem? Now he's ready to retire, he decided to announce it now that he will be retiring at the end of this court term.. god you right wingers always try to pick a bone at any liberal without thinking of the most simple explanation.

And why did all of this "experience" translate into one of the most inept administrations in history?
So much for experience!
I think the electorate decided to go with good judgment over experience this time.

Rumsfeld was first elected a Representative in 1962, and served with Nixon and Ford.

When did President George H. W. Bush take office in the White House? ... was United States President George H. W. Bush's profession prior to the presidency?
If Jeb Bush runs for president will his chances be hurt by his last name?
It helped George W. Bush I guess because everyone wished theyd re-elected George HW Bush 8 years earlier. Will it help Jeb Bush or hurt his chances? I think it would hurt his chances unfortunately because I think he would be the most focused of the 3 Bush politicians in my lifetime. George HW Bush was good but got distracted by International events and George W. Bush was just not presidential even if he was trying, plus he made the immoral choices on Iraq in my view. I think George W. Bush cared about things more then people say though. I think Jeb Bush would be an above average president where as Bush Sr. was average and Bush Jr. average to below average.
Answer: While his name does not sit well with patriotic voters, it is widely accepted by faith-based voting machines.

Who was the last President to sign legislation raising individual income tax rates?
Obama must have signed bills raising the individual tax rates several times over the last two years. After all, he is a tax-and-spend commie Democrat.
Before Obama, Clinton must have supported individual income tax rate increases, right? Hes just another big spending liberal.
It couldnt have been George HW Bush. Thats impossible. After all, he promised he wouldnt, and no Republican President has EVER broken a promise to the American people.
LMAO.
The answer is Dwight Eisenhower, geniuses.
