How long does it take a cats spay incision start to heal?

My kitten is 9 months old and she just got spayed on saturday, she left the stitches alone all day saturday and sunday, but today I came home from work and she had some how untied the stitches. so I called the vet and theyre having us come in tonight to have them looked at, and i just wanted to know when will it not open if the stitches do come undone again? when does it start to heal where the skin is strong enough that it wont tear open again.
Answer: Usually within a week to ten days, the skin is strong enough that you don't have to worry about it causing problems. Until then, ask your vet about an e-collar to keep her from chewing out her sutures. If she pulls them out because they itch (and they do) she could injure herself badly. I've seen cats and dogs that have reopened the entire surgical site and torn into their abdominal cavity. The e-collar will bug your cat and she'll bang it into things (such as furniture and your legs) but it's better than her hurting herself. Hope all works out for you and your baby.

If I Lift Weights Every Other Day, How Often Should I Swim?

Ive been lifting weights every other day, mostly upper body but some days lower, and I want to compliment this with swimming. I know you should let your muscles rest a day after lifting weights. If I continue to lift every other day and start swimming every day, am I preventing my muscles from healing correctly?
Answer: you can swim on your non-weight training days it will actually help to speed recovery from the weight training. you just have to make sure that you are consuming enough calories and nutrients for your level of daily activity and you will have no problems with recovery. also make sure to stretch after each exercise session

How deep of a razor blade cut would need stitches?

Ok, i cut on my wrist with a regular shaving blade. it wasnt across, down the vein, maybe a little under a inch long, and when i cut it it bleed for about ten minutes with out pressure. it was gaping, you could say and was probably a millimeter or two deep. its been a day, and it started to heal but its still like, a dent. like the scab isnt at a surface. still gapping, but not fresh flesh. i did it twice.
Answer: depends where it is .... if it stops bleeding within 40 seconds your fine if not u wont see this message cuz u'll already be dead ...

How do I get my dog to stop constantly chewing on herself?

My dog will not stop chewing on her lower backside. She has been doing this for quite sometime, and now has hotspots and sores. I changed her diet to all natural organic food, and she has been on that for a month now. This was suggested by the vet thinking that maybe she was having food allergies, which is common in dogs. However this isnt working. Are there special vitamins or medicines I could give her? Anything I could give her immediatley to start healing those sores?

I just bought Witch Hazel, and I want to know how long until it starts healing, Ive had leg, and arm acne for a couple yrs now.

I fell doing bleacher runs on Tuesday, and I now have a swollen leg and a bruise that covera the entirety of my shin. I have powerlifting state championships on Friday, and I really need to get rid of at least the pain in the bruise by then. I have been icing twice a day. What are these bites and why are they turning red when they start to heal?

I have these bites that are almost like mosquito bites. They are really itchy! When I stop scratching them for a couple of days and they finally start to heal they turn like blood shot red! I have noticed that most of them I get I notice them in the mornings. So I was thinking bed bugs maybe but I havent seen any! Any ideas? I know its not mosquitos because they never turned red like this before when they start to heal, and its not just one or two there are tons all over me! And they are all turning red!
Answer: Been there. Took me a month to get it under control. Most likely - fleas. But if they are tall and puss some, spiders. vacuum under the bed, wash all the bedding, spray the bed or put flea powder on it. Make sure you vacuum all the webs out under frame. And then move bed away from wall a few inches. And don't allow bedding to be on floor. All better : )

I just got a tattoo 2 days ago. Ive been cleanning it 3 times a day with the aquaphor product afterwards so it doesnt dry out. I took the bandage off the same day so it will start to heal. Its in the middle of my back about 8 inches big and only black ink. its really tender still. I have other tattoos but i really dont remember anything on them since its been so long since ive had one done.

I know smoking makes your face a dull color, but I also got discoloration on my neck and some parts of my face from smoking. Any idea when I start healing and having a more clear face or is the damage permanent? Ive quit smoking only about 5 days ago but Im also doing periodic fasts to try to speed up the detoxifying of harmful chemicals from cigs.
Answer: I quit 5 days ago too! I think it sucks, but whatever...I will deal (preferably without smoking!). As for the damage, some of it may be permanent depending on how old you are, and how long and how much you smoked (older people can be permanently damaged and it takes longer to heal for them). Usually your color is supposed to get better within days, and over the next 2--4 weeks your blood vessels will start going back to normal (smoking narrows them), so your skin should be glowing and healthier withing the month (and b/c smoking destroys collagen, it could also be plumper). As for discolorations...well it depends on what sort of discolorations you're dealing with. I don't understand what you mean when you say you got them from smoking, but all I know is if they are any kind of hyper pigmentation (like the sort of marks you get from acne or hormonal changes) you will need some sort of product to help you out if you want them gone faster. Consider retin a or hydroquinine, or maybe a vitamin c serum.
