Authors Name or Book Title From These Summaries?!?

Im trying to find a book I read a few years ago. Mainly just trying to find the author so I can read more of his books. Dont remember the name of the books but I read two books from him and I have a rough book summary of them. Book 1 There was this girl who is trying to attend this school. They had to stay a few nights at the school. Then had to take a specific test to get in. It turns out that the school is actually "brain washing" kids through their beds. They were monitoring each room kinda like big brother. Only some kids can be "brainwashed" and some are immune. She was immune but she has some guy (who she liked) cheat on her test to help her pass. She gets in and discovers the school is a research facility where they keep the "student" and do varies test. They give the test subjects some shot so they are always in a vegetable state. Do not remember what tests they were. Something with skins? She find the dude she liked become a test subject. She becomes a test subject. Her body starts to adjust to the chemicals they give her and she is able to break out. Book 2 Presidents kid is kidnapped (at the pier?) after making the marijuana trade legal. The cartel are pissed off since they would lose so much money and thats the reason they did it. Police try to find the kid. The people who kidnap the kid blackmail the president with a fake toe. Dont remember much else besides the kid being return and I think some police guy go shot. Anyone read a book similar to this? What website would I go to, to search for book summaries? I have tried google but nothing has come up.

Do you remember the OKC bombing of the Murrah Federal Building?

I live in OKC, and have pretty much my entire life. Every year we are reminded of the bombing on TV, newspaper, in our minds, etc. Are people outside of Oklahoma affected like we are? For instance, I feel very strong emotions about September 11th, but is that b/c I had been so close to an act of terrorism, or does everyone feel that way?
Answer: I personally believe that Oklahoma City residents have an added intensity to which many other Americans, myself included, are not privy. This domestic terrorist attack occurred in THEIR state at a time when most states felt safe, and one hundred sixty-eight Americans were killed simply because these people came to work and brought their kids to their company's daycare. One disgruntled fanatic anti-government miscreant, also an American, decided to wage war on people who meant no one any harm. The feeling of betrayal and personal tragedy would run deeper for those who live in the state so abused. The 9/11 attacks could have and should have been prevented---there were two written warnings and the president's own brother, Marvin Bush, plus two other maternal-side relatives, Wirt Walker I and Wirt Walker III, were principles with the security company (Securacom, now Securatec, Inc.) that was in charge of protecting United Airlines (two 9/11 planes were United); Dulles International (two 9/11 planes flew out of Dulles); and the World Trade Center buildings. But no one could have predicted that an American would randomly decide to destroy a federal building and all of its employees or the employees' children---just the sheer surprise and treachery has had a lasting effect upon us all. For this reason, I've monitored the hate speech emanating from Faux News and talk radio hosts (G. Gordon Liddy, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, et al.) for the past several years and when I learned last year of a growing movement of rabidly anti-government cult-evangelicals with literal interpretation only of scripture, I paid close attention. They had joined forces with the militia militants to schedule an April 19th (today) nationwide ARMED and BODY-ARMOR-WEARING Second Amendment March (originating in Michigan, where the Hutaree were captured and now face trial), including in Washington D.C., I alerted both the Southern Poverty Law Center and the White House. The talk of "waging war against the government" was all over the chat rooms and websites connected to these scheduled protests---and the Oklahoma City bombing is WHY I alerted as many authorities as I could in case violence in any of our state's capital cities was pending. If my actions helped avert any innocent Americans' deaths from the fanatical religious-nut psychos that are out in force today, then this effort was done in memory of the 168 souls from the Oklahoma City bombing.

Answer: Why are you ignoring the (un)insurance companies paying politicians thirty pieces of silver to stop these reforms taking place? I do not understand why so many Americans have fallen for lies about healthcare in the USA, abroad and also the planned reforms [1]. I mean, if the healthcare system in the USA is so good, why have no other nations taken it up? Could it be due to the following facts? FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [2]. FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [3]. Or if the US healthcare system is run so well, why not run the fire service like the healthcare system? [4] Maybe that is because in the USA, insurance companies push up costs, buy politicians and refuse to pay claims that people pay for [5]. Obama wants to make insurance cheaper, stop insurance companies from refusing health coverage to those with pre-existing conditions, and make sure they pay out when they are meant to [6], a system similar to that which works in Taiwan [7]. He debated this before he was elected [8]. Is it right that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, Cuba, Germany and so many other industrialised nations with universal healthcare? If you think my arguments are wrong, e-mail me with proof. But if you can not, let Obama try to help America. If he fails, vote him out in 2012.
